Ten Ontario Masters attended the 2025 CAN FIS Masters Cup (FMC) and Eastern Canadian Masters Alpine Championships (ECMAC). The FMC & ECMAC events were held concurrently from 2-3 February 2025, at Mont Garceau QC, that included two 2-run slaloms on the Sunday and two 1-run giant slaloms on the Monday. The Garceau ROC put on a top-notch event and a first for hosting a Masters’ event.
There were 50 Masters competing with 27 Canadians and 23 from six other nations: Austria, France, Italy, Japan, Switzerland and USA. The oldest woman competing was in the 75-79 age category and the four oldest men in the 80-84 age category which goes to show that age is just a number!
Ontario Masters brought home 5 gold, 13 silver and 3 bronze FMC medals, and 2 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze ECMAC medals. Stéphane Ricard brought home 2 B class FMC trophies. See full results for 2025 CAN FMC & ECMAC.
Seven Ontario Masters attended the Canadian Masters Alpine Championships (CMAC) held from 7-9 March 2025, in Nakiska AB. There were 40 Masters competing in the four events being two super giant slalom races, combined 2-run giant slalom and combined 2-run slalom, plus overall combined results. The ROC put on a first-class event for Masters, as well as for U16 and U14 athletes.
Congratulations to Brian Daub who took home the male 2025 Champion of Champions which is based on a handicap time of the overall combined results. Mike Wolf had the par time! Ontario Masters brought home 9 gold, 7 silver and 8 bronze medals between them! See full results for 2025 CMAC.
