Call for Committee Members
Alpine Ontario Alpin is governed by a dedicated group of passionate and professional volunteers who are committed to growing ski racing in Ontario. Committees play an important role in supporting the work of the Board of Directors, and we invite members of the Alpine Ontario community to consider joining one.
We currently have immediate openings on the Finance Committee and the Discipline and Complaints Committee. Each committee is chaired by a member of the Alpine Ontario Board of Directors, and committee members may be drawn from the broader community.
Committee participation is a low time commitment, meaningful way to give back to a sport we all love. Meetings are held virtually, are professional in tone, and focused on clear, action-oriented outcomes.

Discipline and Complaints Committee
The Discipline and Complaints Committee is a sub-committee of the Board of Directors of Alpine Ontario. Its primary purpose is to oversee the Discipline and Complaints Policy of Alpine Ontario. The committee convenes when required and as a whole once per year. The ability to stay impartial and maintain confidentiality are requirements to serve on the committee.
Finance Committee
The Finance Committee is a sub-committee of the Board of Directors of Alpine Ontario. Its primary purpose is to assist the Board in overseeing the financial management and fiscal integrity of the organization, providing guidance and recommendations on financial matters, and ensuring the organization’s financial health, compliance, and risk management processes are effectively maintained. The committee meets virtually bi-weekly for 30 minutes with longer meetings once or twice annually. Knowledge of budgeting, accounting, and risk management are requirements to serve on this committee.
