🔥 U16 OCUP FINALS🔥

The 2025 U16 OCUP Finals took place at Searchmont Resort, just outside Sault Ste. Marie, ON, bringing together top athletes from across the province for five thrilling race events (2x SL, 2x GS, 1x SG). The race organization committee provided a dynamic racing environment, including the debut of Wolf’s Head, a brand-new slalom track that challenged competitors and is set to become a future FIS-level GS track in the coming years.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Searchmont Ski Runners and the dedicated volunteers who made this event possible. Their tireless efforts ensured a seamless, well-executed competition, delivering top-tier race conditions and an unforgettable experience for all involved. From course preparation to race-day logistics, their hard work did not go unnoticed.

This year, a new recognition was introduced to highlight the fittest racers, based on their submitted Alpine Canada Fitness Combine scores. Anabelle Ellison and Gavin Magwood earned this distinction and proudly wore the green fitness leader bib throughout the competition.

Congratulations to Berkeley Stroud and Jacob Mackey for capturing the Overall U16 OCUP Championships. Their consistent performances throughout the series and strong finishes secured them the top honors.

The fastest 30 men and 30 women from the event will now advance to the Eastern Regional Championships in Collingwood from March 20-24, where they will represent Ontario in an intense competition against Quebec and the Maritime provinces.

We look forward to seeing these talented athletes continue their success on the road to future championships!
