Alpine Ontario Alpin (AOA) is proud to congratulate the following athletes named to the 2024/25 Ontario Ski Team (OST) and the Ontario Development Ski Team (ODST). The Ontario Para-Alpine Ski Team (OPAST) will be formally announced in the coming months. These teams represent the pinnacle of alpine ski racing in Ontario.  The members of these provincial teams are representatives of their ski clubs and respective divisions, and it is thanks to these club and division programs and coaches that Ontario continues to produce world-class athletes.  Keep up the great work!

“As a program, we have seen great success over the past two seasons of graduating athletes to the Canadian Alpine Ski Team and tier 1 NCAA colleges through achieving strong results on the Nor-am circuit and World Junior Championships.  We are thrilled to launch into the 24-25 season with some returning veterans striving for the World Junior Champs and several new athletes who aim to build experience on the Nor-Am circuit. Please join me in cheering on this determined group of athletes. Go Ontario!”  – Patrick Biggs, AOA Executive Director

The Ontario Ski Team (“OST”) is a high-performance development program designed to prepare these selected athletes with the broad range of skills and characteristics needed to succeed at the highest levels of international competition. The primary athletic goals of the OST are to help athletes maximize their athletic potential and advance to the Canadian Alpine Ski Team (CAST). The primary benchmark events for the Ontario Ski Team are the Noram Cup and the World Junior Championships. Many graduating Ontario Ski Team athletes choose to pursue their athletic goals through the National Collegiate Athletic Association or other elite university ski racing programs.

The primary athletic goals of the Ontario Development Ski Team (“ODST”) are to help athletes maximize their athletic potential and advance to the Ontario Ski Team. Primary benchmark events are regional, national, and international FIS competitions.

*New this year, Alpine Ontario has selected a group of postgraduate athletes (OST-2) who have been identified and selected to join OST with the goals of building their experience and results for full qualification of the team in the coming years.  Also, a group of invitees will be joining on a project-by-project basis to offer development opportunities for more Ontario athletes pursuing the high-performance pathway.
