The Ontario Masters’ Championships were held at Georgian Peaks Ski Club on Saturday, 11 March 2023, with Giant Slalom in the morning and Slalom in the afternoon. Georgian Peaks hosted an excellent event so a big THANK YOU goes out to the RoC, crew and volunteers for a great day of racing.
There were 58 racers registered for the GS race and 54 for the SL race; across 8 age categories for women and 9 age categories for men. The oldest age group was 75 – 79 for women and 80 – 84 for men, and the youngest was 18 – 29 for women and 30 – 34 for men. The biggest age groups were men 55-59, 60-64 and 65-69!
The representation by province/club was: AASA/AB Masters (1), AOA/Caledon (1), AOA/Chicopee (2), AOA/Craigleith (8), AOA/Devil’s Glen (4), AOA/Fenninger Racing (2), AOA/Georgian Peaks (12), AOA/The Heights (2), AOA/Jozo Weider (14), AOA/Mansfield (1), AOA/Osler (3), AOA/Snow Valley (2), AOA/TSCBM (5) & SQA/Owl’s Head (1).
