Collingwood, ON (November 10, 2017) Alpine Ontario Alpin hosted its 2017 Annual General Meeting on Sunday, November 5th at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Center. As reported in the Notice of Meeting and reflected in the Chair’s remarks at the AGM, consistent with AOA Board renewal, Kent Paisley, who had been a Board member since 2013, stood aside to make way for new directors.

Kent came to us from Caledon Ski Club where he was President and joined the Board at a challenging time in the affairs of AOA. Kent always embraced the challenge and attended Board and planning meetings even with his busy travel and professional schedule and has always been an active and valued contributor. Kent’s contributions will be greatly missed, but he has assured us that it is not goodbye, but au revoir, as he embarks upon this new chapter in his support of and contributions to the alpine racing community.

Please welcome two new board members Andrew Fortier and Mark Santone.

Andrew Fortier
Born and raised in Sudbury Ontario, Andrew is now a partner at private equity investment firm Birch Hill Equity Partners. Andrew raced on the Northern Ontario ski team and is an avid skier; he also enjoys golf, mountain biking and chasing his two young daughters.

Mark Santone
Mark is currently the Head of Integrated Sports: Brand Development & Client Service for Rogers Sportsnet. Mark has been involved in Sport Marketing since 2001 and has a wealth of experience in brand development, sponsorship, and sport promotion.
