COLLINGWOOD, ON (November 27th, 2017) — Alpine Ontario Alpin (AOA) welcomes SXS Fitness as a new partner providing resources and expertise to members of AOA in the areas of fitness, wellness and nutrition. SXS Fitness is owned and run by Stefan Overgaard who grew up ski racing in Southern Ontario and was a former member of the National Ski Team.  Today, Stefan continues to coach at the U16 level at Osler Bluff Ski Club on the weekends and, during the week trains many alpine skiers along with athletes from many sports including hockey, soccer, rugby, football, tennis, swimming, running, biking, figure skating, baseball and boxing, to name just a few.

We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with AOA.  We look forward to working with an organization that has been a big part of my life, both as an athlete and as a professional.” Stefan comments. “SXS is hoping to be a valuable resource for all athletes, parents and coaches. We are committed to producing a fitter, healthier and faster athlete, both on and off the hill.

AOA Executive Director Scott Barrett comments on this new partnership, “SXS Fitness fills the gap for AOA in providing off-season fitness training. We are striving to improve off-season training such that Ontario can excel and as a result sustain less injuries which in the long run can provide better results. Training for skiers is hugely important and we are confident that SXS Fitness will take the Fitness Testing and our off-season programs to the next level with standardized testing and data we can work off in the years to come!
