Collingwood, ON (January 25th, 2018) – Alpine Ontario Alpin (AOA) is pleased to welcome Hatley to its ever-growing list of corporate partners. Hatley is a Canadian born company that AOA is proud to support. The Hatley mission is to create fun, well designed, nature-inspired apparel and gifts for the whole family in an ecologically responsible way.

The company Hatley was founded 20 years ago in the lakeside Village of North Hatley, Quebec by painter Alice Oldland and her husband John. Today Alice and John’s three sons continue to run the business with Hatley Designs sold around the world.  Hatley stands for the same principles on which it started: family, good design, quality and of course, loads of laughter.

While the Hatley designs reaches beyond children with a popular women’s line, the contract with AOA is designed to target the U10 segment. The new U10 Hatley Cup will take place on March 14th at Osler Bluff Ski Club. Racers and guests can expect on site Hatley activation including a dedicated AOA membership offer.

Hatley owner Nick Oldland comments, “My brothers and I own Hatley, we are lifelong skiers and between us we have six kids enrolled in race programs. We operate stores in some of the best ski resorts in North America including Tremblant, Blue Mountain, Banff, Whistler, Lace Placid, Mammoth and Lake Tahoe.  Now it’s time to give a little back, sponsor a great ski race for kids and share our love of the sport.

AOA Executive Director, Scott Barrett adds, “This partnership is a perfect fit for these young racers considering we have a Hatley store here in the Collingwood region at the Blue Mountain Village. The race is taking place on March 14th and will include approximately 200 kids all whom embody family, hard work, athletics and loads of laughs – just like the Hatley brand!  I also want to thank Graeme Buckrell, our AOA U16 consultant and Osler Bluff Head Coach Director for opening up the Osler Club to the U10 athletes and for embracing Hatley as the title sponsor.”

AOA members can find Hatley stores across Canada including two in Toronto, Newmarket, Kingston, Niagara-On-The-Lake and the Blue Mountain Village at the base of Blue Mountain.
