BC Adaptive is looking for a guide & back-up guide/training partner for a visually impaired ski racer
based in the Okanagan for the 2025/2026 season. This is an exceptional opportunity to support a
dedicated athlete striving to represent Canada at the Paralympic Games.

Responsibilities:
 Guide the athlete and train with the athlete and the Okanagan Ski Team as needed throughout the season. Training locations are Apex Mountain Resort and Silver Star Resort.
 Participate in pre-season/downhill race training activities with the athlete such as crosscountry skiing or gym sessions in accordance with the OST programming
 Guide, train and/or race with athlete in other locations as prescribed by the OST race calendar as required
 Guiding and training requires on and off snow support for the duration of the program with OST
 Commit to self-improvement (i.e. fitness, technical skiing) as coached by Okanagan Ski Team coach and directed by BC Adaptive Snowsports Athlete Development Manager
 Provide proper equipment required for ski racing (adaptive equipment will be provided)

This is a paid position, it is ideal for ski racers who would like to train, guide with an 18-year old
