Ontario Snow Resorts Association Important Update, March 15th, 2020

Ski, Snowboard and Tubing Resorts to Shut Down for the Remainder of the Ski Season
———————————————————————————————————
As the COVID-19 pandemic escalates, the Ontario Snow Resorts Association is recommending that the owners and operators of Ontario’s 49 alpine snow resorts make the difficult decision to cease operations for the remainder of the 2019-2020 season.

The health, safety and wellbeing of the general public, our employees and volunteers are primary and paramount to our industry. Although the risk of being infected with the COVID-19 while being at our resorts remains low, the recent intensification of this virus in public spaces
and workplaces cannot be ignored.

Members of the public are asked to contact resorts directly regarding cancellations, credits and refunds. Please understand that call volumes may be significant during this time and your patience is appreciated.

These are challenging and unprecedented times. The snow resort industry prides itself on providing an unparalleled healthy and enjoyable experience for our guests and employees, which makes this decision even more difficult as our great snow and sunshine beckons.

Stay active – stay healthy,

Kevin Nichol,
President
On behalf of The Ontario Snow Resorts Board of Directors
