Female ski racers gathered at Craigleith for the annual She Skis event, a day dedicated to mentorship, training, and empowerment for U14 and U16 athletes. Hosted by Mackenzie Investments, Alpine Canada, and Alpine Ontario Alpin (AOA), in collaboration with Women in Coaching (WIC) and coinciding with the World Cup Ski Cross, the event kicked off with a morning on-hill training session led by experienced WIC coaches. The session introduced the girls to the World Cup track, key elements of Ski Cross competition, and an opportunity to test their skills on a Ski Cross training track.

In the afternoon, athletes took a well-earned break before participating in lectures and workshops with Katie Twible, former Women’s U.S. and Ontario Ski Team Coach, Ally Dandy U16 Coach, and Dana Sinclair, renowned sports psychologist and author of ‘Dialed In’. The afternoon’s highlight was a Canadian Women’s Ski Cross Team Q&A and Fireside Chat with Olympians Britt Phelan and Hannah Schmidt. The young racers embraced the chance to connect directly with these inspiring mentors.

She Skis continues to grow each year to empower and support female ski racers, fostering confidence, skill development, and a strong sense of community.

Mackenzie Investments would like to extend this feedback survey to help make next years event even bigger and better than ever!
